Just saw on Facebook that Notch is setting a release for 1.8 this week. If you do participate in a server, I would expect to not update your client until your server is 1.8 ready. Unfortunately with every beta update comes riddled with bugs. I will post something on GamerMade once the update takes place.

The server we have been used is currently maxed out on users, so we are attempting to find a fix for this and may be moving the server to a new address. I will follow up when I know more.

I think the farthest we've gone is "5 days out" (since you only travel during the day). Please hold while I add you. Then I'll give ya further direction ;)
