Time to Build, Trade, Destroy
Game Blastworks

Majesco and Budcat games have announced a May 2008 release for Blastworks; Build, Trade, Destroy for the Wii. This game is a classic style side-scrolling shooter in look and game play but oh it is so much more, don’t let the retro style graphics fool you. Blastworks is completely customizable!

Blastworks is incredibly customizable! Even in single player, when you destroy an enemy ship you absorb the pieces of the destroyed vessel and fuse them to your ship creating a "supership". In the editor you can design your own ships, enemy vessels, bosses, levels, assign bullet patterns, sound FX, hit boxes and more! I know right? Crazy! The graphics are best described as lego like, meaning everything is made out of little blocks. As you can well imagine being “lego-like” building things will be pretty easy.

In this game you can create your own totally unique levels from top to bottom, from bosses to bullets it’s up to you! Not only can you enjoy your home brewed mini-game level but you can trade them online, not just levels but ships whatever you make. “Gamers can literally build their own shooter experience via Blast Works’ easy-to-use, multiple in-game editors,” said Ken Gold, vice president of Marketing, Majesco. “This exceptional customization combined with the unique “stickiness” of enemy debris and bright geometric graphics delivers a standout game that never plays the same way twice.”

With over15 missions in single player, a level builder, item builder, co-op play, online multiplayer and trading via Wiiconnect24 I doubt this game will become mundane any time soon.
